DISC Behaviour blends
We don't talk boxes

The DISC model is a brilliant tool that helps us understand why people act the way they do. Most people aren't just one single letter; they are a mix of two or even three. These are called blends.
Imagine personality traits like primary colours. When you mix blue and yellow, you get green. DISC blends work the same way, creating a unique "shade" of behaviour that is more specific than just a single trait.1. The High D/I (The Result-Oriented Persuader)When the Dominance (D) trait mixes with Influence (I), you get a very high-energy person. These individuals are usually very outgoing and love to take charge. They are great at convincing others to follow their lead and are very focused on getting things done quickly.
- Main Goal: To win and have fun doing it.
- Big Strength: They are great at motivating a team to hit a goal.
2. The High I/S (The Relational Counsellor)This blend mixes Influence (I) with Steadiness (S). These people are the "people persons" of the world. They are warm, friendly, and very good listeners. Unlike the D/I, they aren't trying to boss anyone around; they just want everyone to get along and feel happy.
- Main Goal: To build deep, friendly relationships.
- Big Strength: They are excellent at calming people down and helping friends work through problems.
3. The High S/C (The Thoughtful Specialist)When Steadiness (S) meets Conscientiousness (C), you get someone who is very careful and reliable. These individuals don't like to rush. They want to make sure the job is done perfectly and that everyone is following the rules. They are often very quiet but very hard-working.
- Main Goal: To be accurate and keep things stable.
- Big Strength: You can always count on them to follow a plan exactly as it is written.
4. The High C/D (The Creative Driver)The Conscientiousness (C) and Dominance (D) blend is quite powerful. These people are very logical and determined. They don't care much for "small talk" or chatting; they want to find the most efficient way to solve a problem using facts and data.
- Main Goal: To get the best results using logic.
- Big Strength: They are amazing at looking at a complex problem and finding a smart, fast solution.
Why Blends Matter
Understanding blends is like having a secret map of how people work. If you know someone is an I/S, you know they will appreciate a kind word and a slow pace. If you know they are a C/D, you know they want you to get straight to the point and show them the evidence.
By learning these blends, we can communicate better, avoid arguments, and build stronger teams where everyone feels understood. For advanced, experiential live training join us at THE DISCPlus ACADEMY
