The Godley Healing Wheel

A blueprint for radical self-recovery

At first glance, the Godley Healing Wheel (also
known as the Perfect 10 Wellness Programme) appears to be a simple self-assessment tool. However, beneath its colorful concentric rings lies a profound philosophy of health that challenges the traditional medical model.

Created by Executive Health Mentor, Elaine Godley, and survivor of Stage 4 cancer, the wheel is not just about
"fitness" or "diet." It is a diagnostic map based on a
singular, powerful premise:

Your biography becomes your biology.

The following article explores the deep philosophy behind
the wheel, how it functions as a "root cause" detector, and why
achieving a "Perfect 10" is about survival, not just vanity.

The Premise: The "Toxic Soup" and the Immune
System

The fundamental premise of the Godley Healing Wheel is that
illness—whether it is chronic fatigue, auto-immune disease, or cancer—is rarely an isolated physical event. Instead, it is the downstream result of a life out of balance.

Elaine Godley’s methodology, developed after she was given
less than a year to live in 2015 with a stage 4 cancer diagnosis, suggests that we live in a "toxic soup" of environmental stressors, poor nutrition, and—crucially—behavioural misalignment

When our daily lives conflict with our authentic selves, the
body remains in a chronic state of "fight or flight." This stress
load suppresses the immune system, allowing disease to bubble to the surface.

The Wheel serves as a radar to detect these invisible
stressors before they become terminal diagnoses.

The Pillars of Holistic Health

The Wheel divides the human experience into 10 distinct
"spokes." While traditional medicine often focuses solely on
the Body, the Godley Healing Wheel treats the body as just
one-tenth of the equation.

Here is the deep logic behind the areas:

Behaviour: This is the anchor of Elaine’s philosophy. Using DISC behavioural profiling, this sector asks: Are you living against your nature? If you are a sensitive, introverted person forcing yourself into a high-aggression corporate role, that behavioural friction creates disease.

Attitude: Do you possess a mindset of recovery or defeat? This measures your psychological resilience and willingness to take radical responsibility for your own health.

Values: Alignment is key. If your work or home life forces you to compromise your core moral compass, the resulting internal dissonance manifests as physical toxicity.

Work: Since we spend the majority of our waking hours working, a "low score" here is a massive contributor to the "stress load" that shuts down the immune system.

Home: Your sanctuary. Is your environment restorative, or is it another source of conflict and toxin exposure?

Family & Friends: These two areas measure your "social immune system." Toxic relationships are just as damaging to cellular health as toxic chemicals.

Body: The physical vessel. This measures tangible metrics like nutrition, hydration, and movement—but in this model, the body is the result of the other sectors, not the starting point.

Mind: This goes beyond intelligence; it refers to mental clarity, stress management, and the absence of "brain fog" which often precedes serious illness.

Beliefs: This deeper sector challenges limiting beliefs. Do you believe you can heal? Do you believe you are worthy of health? Your cells "listen" to these beliefs.

The Mechanism: The "Perfect 10" Assessment

The wheel asks you to rate yourself from 0 (outer
    rim/crisis) to 10 (center/bullseye) in each area.

    • The Goal: A score of 10 represents "Perfect Health"—a state
of high vitality, alignment, and immunity.

    • The Gap: Most people might score a 7 in "Work" but a 3 in
"Body" and a 4 in "Beliefs."

    • The Insight: The wheel reveals the interconnectivity of
health. A low score in Values or Behaviour is
often the "root cause" of a low score in Body. You
cannot fix the body with supplements alone if the behaviour causing the stress remains unchanged.

The DISC Connection: Psychology as Medicine

What makes the Godley Healing Wheel unique compared to other
wellness charts is its integration with DISC profiling (evidenced
    by the DISCPlus Academy branding).

Elaine’s work emphasises that different personality types
(Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, Compliance) have different health risks.

For example, a "High D" (Dominant) might be prone
to burnout and heart issues due to a refusal to rest, while a "High
S" (Steadiness) might internalise conflict to keep the peace, leading to auto-immune suppression.

The Wheel is not just about checking boxes; it is
about bio-hacking your personality. By understanding your Behaviour score, you can adjust your lifestyle to lower your cortisol levels and reactivate your body's natural healing ability.

    Conclusion

The Godley Healing Wheel acts as a mirror. It reflects the
harsh truth that health is not something you get at the doctor’s office; it is something you cultivate through the choices you make in your behaviour, relationships, and environment. Its premise is empowering: if you can identify where the wheel is flat, you can reinflate it—and in doing so, you don't just survive; you thrive.
